Every submission is watched in full
A curator reviews each project in its entirety before making a decision -- not a thumbnail, not the first ten seconds. Runtime and technique never disqualify a submission from a full, fair viewing.
What our curators look for
Craft, storytelling clarity, originality, and technical intent are weighed together -- a rough student film with a genuine voice can be reviewed as favorably as a polished studio piece. We look for work that was made with care, not work that fits a formula.
Editorial independence
Curatorial decisions are made independently of sponsorship, popularity, or outside pressure. A project's placement in the showcase reflects the review it received, nothing else.
After the review
Approved projects are published to the permanent showcase, and the strongest submissions may be selected for editorial featuring. See our Editorial Policy for how those standards are applied, and our Submission Guidelines for how to prepare a project for review.
