Submission
What kinds of animation can I submit?
Feature films, short films, television series, animated episodes, student films, independent productions, stop motion, traditional animation, 3D animation, motion graphics, experimental work, game cinematics, and emerging techniques -- every form of animation is welcome.
Is there a cost to submit?
No. Submitting your project to ANIMOTION is free.
What video hosting do you accept?
Your project should already be hosted with a supported provider (see Submission Guidelines); you submit a link rather than uploading a video file directly.
Can I submit more than one project?
Yes. There is no limit on how many projects one creator can submit over time.
Can I update my project after submitting it?
Yes, you can edit your project's details at any time from your Creator Dashboard. Significant changes after publication may be reviewed again to keep the showcase's editorial standards consistent.
What happens after I submit?
Your project enters editorial review. See our Editorial Process page for exactly what curators look for and how decisions are made.
Accounts
Do I need an account to submit a project?
Yes, a free ANIMOTION account is required so you can manage your submissions and appear as their creator.
Is joining ANIMOTION free?
Yes, creating an account and joining the community costs nothing.
Will I have a public creator profile?
Yes, every creator has a public profile showcasing their published projects, discoverable from the Creators directory.
How do I reset my password?
Use the "lost your password" link on the log-in screen to reset it yourself at any time.
Can I delete my account and my data?
Yes -- see our Privacy page for how to request erasure of your personal data.
Technical
What video hosting works best?
Any of our supported video providers works well; see Submission Guidelines for the current list.
My video isn't displaying correctly. What should I check?
First confirm the video link itself plays normally on its original hosting site, and that it's set to be publicly viewable. If it still doesn't display, contact technical support.
What image sizes work best for a poster or cover?
A high-resolution image, at least 1200 pixels on its shortest side, will display sharply across every device size.
Which browsers and devices are supported?
ANIMOTION is built to work on current versions of every major browser, on both desktop and mobile.
I found a bug. Who do I tell?
Please let us know through the Contact page -- technical reports help us keep the platform working well for everyone.
Policies
Does ANIMOTION guarantee funding, distribution, or a job?
No. ANIMOTION celebrates animation and gives it an international audience; it is not a marketplace and does not promise funding, representation, distribution deals, or employment.
Is there public voting?
No. Every project is reviewed and selected editorially, by curators -- never by a public vote or popularity count.
Who owns my project after I submit it?
You do, entirely. Submitting only grants ANIMOTION permission to display your project; it is never a transfer of ownership.
Can my project be removed from the showcase?
Yes -- at your own request, or if a project no longer meets our Editorial Policy. See that page for the full standards we apply.
How is my personal data handled?
See our Privacy page for exactly what we collect, how it is used, and how to request a copy or its erasure.
